Lemon Smoothie

Appropriate for Stage II through Maintenance

 

Introduction:

This refreshing smoothie is one of the best ways to hydrate the gastrointestinal tract and support optimal cellular hydration. It’s rich in electrolytes, antioxidants, fiber, and essential oils. The combination of Greek yogurt and whole lemon (with peel) offers a powerful nutritional boost.

 

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup organic full-fat plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 whole organic lemon (washed thoroughly with white vinegar and baking soda)
  • ½ cup frozen mango, blueberries, or other fruit of your choice
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp raw honey or one small piece of honeycomb
  • 1 cup filtered water

 

Instructions:

  1. Wash the whole lemon thoroughly using white vinegar and baking soda to remove any residues.
  2. Add the lemon (with peel), Greek yogurt, frozen fruit, sea salt, honey, and filtered water to a high-powered blender.
  3. Blend on high until smooth and creamy.
  4. Serve immediately and enjoy!
